{"id":1081,"date":"2018-03-21T13:29:30","date_gmt":"2018-03-21T13:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/danzbb.com\/?p=1081"},"modified":"2018-03-22T23:26:33","modified_gmt":"2018-03-22T23:26:33","slug":"maintenance-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/danzbb.com\/index.php\/2018\/03\/21\/maintenance-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Maintenance Work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The last few weeks have been spent working to address some of the stuff that&#8217;s happened to the layout over the winter:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Several figures needed to be repainted, reset on their bases, or otherwise repaired.<\/li>\n<li>Some roofs needed repainting<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning buildings of mud\/rain splatter<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkler repair<\/li>\n<li>Getting the last of the leaves out of the tunnel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Plus there were other things to take care of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Weeding<\/li>\n<li>Re-leveling\/settling track<\/li>\n<li>New plants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I also changed the interchange between the mainline and the inner loop. I had some R1 switches between the two, but they were too &#8220;sharp&#8221; for some of my longer cars (specifically the passenger cars) to make it through consistently. Luckily my oldest daughter has been really helpful, raking, pulling weeds, and so on.
